Municipal Action Plan

Since joining the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program in March 2018 through a Council resolution, the Township of Tay has achieved Milestones 1, 2 and 3.

GHG emission summary

In 2015 the Township of Tay emitted approximately 41,052 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e), with corporate emissions accounting for 1% of this total or 898 tCO2e and community emissions accounting for 99% or 40,154 tCO2e.
Community energy consumption data was provided by Newmarket-Tay Hydro and Enbridge, while corporate information was provided by the municipality itself.
