Sustainable Severn Sound is governed by a Sustainability Committee made up of elected Council and staff representatives from each of our partner municipalities. The Sustainability Committee also receives in-kind committee representation from several community stakeholders, including the North Simcoe Community Futures Development Corporation/ Société d’aide au dévelopement des collectivités Simcoe Nord (NSCFDC), the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) and the Severn Sound Environmental Association (SSEA).
“Over the past four years, SSS and the Sustainability Committee have grown in knowledge and in strength. We look forward to continuing to build momentum through our collective action to mitigate climate change.” – Doug Luker, CAO, Township of Tiny and Sustainability Committee Chairperson
